It was a pleasure, again, to be involved in this years’ #UKDXAwards .
It wasn’t until I received my logos and badges from the Awards International team that I realised I’ve judged at 11 of these awards now across the series! I always come away from these events having realised plenty of value from me being involved; from the insight and knowledge gained first hand by learning different businesses innovations, to also learning best practise and excellence in the use of technology and people engagement, and it is always a joy to see how passionate people are about their work, their people, and their organisations! The events are always so upbeat and uplifting. Very enjoyable!
I would like to congratulate the Awards International team for transitioning the event seamlessly to online – it was a huge success. Though as a seasoned Chair of Judges, I had never done an event such as this online but there was plenty of support for all to make sure we had what we needed for the day. Special thanks to Ana Belic who ran the series of webinars to help the judges, and to Marija Prokic who was really valuable support on the day of the event.
And so, to host the day we welcomed Ian Golding! Ian’s charm and wit did not disappoint…! Both Ian and Awards International CEO Neil Skehel both looked dashing with their very suitable black tie attire, and so we embarked upon an exciting afternoon with the awards presentation.

I judged and presented the award for the Digital Change & Transformation – Telecoms category, and whilst all of the finalists had clearly achieved great things, BT Enterprise & LogMeIn were deserving winners, having designed and delivered a ‘video engineer consult’ proposition, which in today’s climate proved invaluable to them realising all sorts of benefits to the business, and of course, the customer. The quality of their entry was superb too, giving us as judges all of the information that we need to be able to make our decisions and score easily.
There is always a good mix of entries, from the large corporate businesses who may questionably have larger budgets for huge scale transformation, and the smaller more agile organisations that can drive change at a quicker pace – everybody’s achievements are celebrated and just to get to these finals is a huge achievement in itself! Well done to all who took part.
